In 2013 Powerglax filed for patent coverage for an industrial invention consisting of a new transparent photovoltaic system consisting of a double glazing, i.e. two sheets (glass or polymeric) separated from each other by a cavity, in which the first sheet is dedicated to the conversion of the incident radiation into electrical energy and the second plate is dedicated to the production of specific optical and chromatic effects.

In 2019 Powerglax filed for patent coverage for an industrial invention consisting of a new photoluminescent multilayer plastic film architecture capable of maximizing the optical performances of conventional glass plates and providing them with important energy production capabilities.

In 2021 Powerglax filed for patent coverage for an industrial invention consisting of a new type of flexible photovoltaic arrays to be coupled to the new POWERGLAX photovoltaic glasses. This new type of photovoltaic receivers allows to minimize assembly costs, to maximize the energy efficiency of the windows and to increase the relative versatility of glass sheets (glass sheets can be transformed into energy glasses).
